today I learned (drum roll, please): no feeling is final. do not ever allow yourself to get so enveloped in something, because odds are, you’ll feel differently 24 hours later. promise.
today I learned that as you get older, you see more and more of your parents in yourself. eek.
today I learned that if the whole world went vegetarian, we would have enough grain to feed 8.7 billion people (more than the world’s population). but instead, we feed livestock… and then kill them.
sad when you put it this way, huh?
today I learned that your memory isn’t the most accurate tool. in fact, it’s crazy how much you can restructure after a few years’ passing.
today I learned that you have at least one thing in common with everyone, and that one thing (or more) can always turn into a friendship.
I learn and relearn this lesson often, and I love it.
today I learned that doing a little good, even just bringing one smile to one stranger’s face, can go a long way.
today I learned that you can want two very conflicting things at the same time.
today I learned that instead of always looking for more, I need to stop and appreciate what I have. especially when I have so much.
today I learned that for the amount of time where “over 21” and “still in college” overlap, day drinking is accepted (and possibly encouraged).
today I learned that there is a specific feeling that accompanies clear sunny summer air, that compares to nothing else on this planet.
